Ironic damage, but happy to still be around

Hey gang!

I was backing out of my driveway this morning, when a woman zipped around the bend and just caught my rear bumper. The plastic part was cleanly ripped from the car, and she had a bit of damage to her car, but we were both ok. (No injuries at all.)

Before I go on with the ironic part, I'd just like to say, Thank you God Allmighty that I didn't back out slightly sooner. (My last thought when I saw the car and jammed on the brakes was, "This is going to HURT." But it didn't, and I'm REALLY thankful.)

Now, the car is fine otherwise, and I'm still driving it. Except the metal back bumper is exposed, and the plastic is torn off. At lunch today I went out to the car to get the woman's information so I could call my insurance company. As I walked back inside, I had the funniest thought.

"Gee, now my car is just like my Eagle: The tail has been blown off. "

Just having that thought probably qualifies me for the"You know you're disturbingly addicted to Freelancer" thread. I'll have to add this in when I have the time.

Did I mention I'm really greatful that I wasn't smacked into next week? *looks heavenward* Thanks!!!

Nice one TBK, does this mean your car can now turn slightly faster?

I really can't tell. But it's harder to hit now, and I think it might take a little less damage from a missile hit. I haven't had the chance to test that theory yet though...not that I'm hot to try it. ;D
