Well, I've got to thank Fleggy again. I was just stitting here wondering how I was going to get Full Admin access to these forums now that he's gone. I vaugely remembered he promised he'd set me up with Full Admin, once a long time ago when he was taking a break from the game, but it never gelled.
And then I thought, "I wonder if I can get into the {Admin} account?"
And after a few minutes, I thought, "He gave me the password for the Exo account. I wonder if he made the Admin password the same as my Exo password?"
Dang if that didn't work on the first shot.
It's like someone whispered it to me. (A whisper from Fleg? A hint from God? I dunno.) When that logged in on the first shot, I couldn't believe it.
Thanks Fleggy!

Wow. I wonder just how many possible passwords there could have been, for you to pick the right one on the 2nd attempt.

Dang if that didn't work on the first shot. I'm afraid TBK's "Americanisms" got the better of me!

Actually, while you're at it, I'd like to thank Fleggy for a few things too, if that's ok?
TBK was the first guy on GOI I met. Fleggy came in a close second, a few days later. We spent several hours travelling around (to Theta via Hokkaido - lol) and we talked on many things. We discovered we had a lot in common and shared a few similar views on life. I mean, only Fleggy would fly klicks out of the way to "moon" a Xenos base - lol.
Fleggy showed me how to set up a Drom for trading and fighting. He showed me how to do the multible ship trade runs using several computers. We spent hours doing the diamond run from NB to NT and back. I had 3 Droms running and Fleggy had 5 or 6 up at one stage. It was a regular trading fleet. We made a stack of credits. Today I have something like 350 mil and I pretty much owe it all to Fleggy and his trading bonanza.
We shared several hours of off game time together trying to get the stupid times code working that shows up our time zones at the bottom of the forum. We never did finish that.
I have several pics of Fleggy and the bass/DracO crew in battle formation heading off to war. The conversations and comradery brought to bass by Fleggy, Sly, Thor and TBK at those times is the reason I'm still in bass and one of the reasons I still post here even though I rarely get to fly anymore. Fleggy (and others) have made this like home, and I feel indebted to Fleggy for the small piece of life's pleasure he afforded me.
So, thank you Fleggy. As he was wont to say, from this old bucket headed freelancer to another, see you in sirius space.

Ahhh.. Now I see why in the other thread you mentioned Theta (Via Hokkaido) With Fleg, it all makes sense, it's "expert" not noob, there's good reason.. Umm, but, 350M??

Asterix was actually the first person I talked to, he offered me some sound advice when I asked about clans and who to join. "Fly solo for a while, get to know your way around, then join the clan you get along best with" or words to that effect. Then I met Phantoms Ix the next night, he escorted me from dresden up to Tau 37, cant remember the route, just that it seemed amazingly quick when i realized where we were lol. Then, i think within the same week, I met Fleggy, and gelled. This guy was sooo frigin helpful and patient and friendly. He spent hours showin me the ropes, so to speak, and never lost patience or asked for anything in return. When I asked him what bass was about he told me, we are Base And System Services, we provide services to ANYONE, friend or foe, whatever is needed if we can help out we do, whether it be a simple transfer or escorting a freighter through pirate infested spaces, or helping someone setup a char, or helping a noob figure out what he's doing, anything. I think I said I'd think about joining but really I was bass from then on, think I had my tags by the next night lol.
So thank you, Fleggy, for, how to put it in words? For showing that my prefered approach to RL can be just as important, and potent, in FL (or any game I'd guess) For all your endless hours of patient assistance, not just to me but many other players as well. in fact. Thank you for [bass]
