Tips for the 1ml Missions

im gonna put down the obveous tips and im sure ppl can add to it as they please.

ok so you dont want to be doin the missions with more then 4 ppl. mainly because 1ml split between 4 is only 250k. which is pretty much the same as a good mission in beta. too make it worth ur while u gota scab as many kraken 2's off the Terminators as possible. this means no dying at all during the mission or u will loose what ever loot u may have collected.

depending on the skill of the group will decide how organised u get. if u have 4 experianced players, that can handle themselves then i wouldnt worry about setting up any type of system, if anything the system would be ..go hard.

but. if u have some dudes who arent quite hacking the pace, then id sujest 2 leaders and 2 followers. the leaders just go to town on the Terminators and he followers attack who ever the leaders have targeted. 2v1. u can get through them alot quicker when theirs 2v1.

or if the group is average then just to to town on em, but help a brother out too. uno if u spot someone's target switch to that one.

I try not to go into them head on on the first pass, i alway get hammered, end up using a regen uber early. just go evasive until u have passed em then go hard.

theirs no need to honorable whith these dudes, just spam missles if u use em, and definatly spam (with intent) cd's, great for blowing up the rippers they drop in their but.

umm if theirs less then 4, then u will need to be on ur toes. they come in waves of between 2-4-ish i think...ruffly. so if theirs less then 4 dudes then it can be done when theirs only 2 waves. otherwise it gets silly. after saying that i will point out Riddler and xXx have completed a 1ml mission together.

its awsome practice for system battles. theirs a ridiculus amount of rippers floating around. pretty cool.

Yet to see Rambles on for this one, but we have a technique which works pretty well with the torps. Most ppl can handle it, one guy with torps going in first (unusual yes, but it seems to work out cos they're so slow) The torp guy can drop a few torps, at different pre-arranged targets. Like centre, far left and far right. Then split, they tend to go hardest for the first guy.

Remaining ppl need to rip the shields off the targets, then break before the torps hit. Gets a nice 3 kills on the first pass.

Beyond that, work in pairs on a target, as they regen it's best to take them down quickly.

If your doing it yourself, or an uncordinated attack, break off after each kill to get your shields back up, that way you can stick with a target til he's dead. It's pretty pointless getting him 90% nailled then breaking off cos your banged up, works well usually but with the bsm they regen quicker than you do. So go in full, get the kill, then get your strength back b4 the next attck.

I've found going in alone, or when my partner dies, I'm pretty much screwed. I'm not good enough to take any of them out before they whack into me and I'm a gonna. If my partner dies I can dodge and avoid them long enough for him to return to the action, but with all of them onto me alone, I find I cannot turn to fight them without getting killed.

What I have found works if you have two or three of you in a group, is to pull the terminator pack apart before you start attacking them. Separate your initial approach so that one goes left, one right, and maybe someone else below if you have three pilots. The hang around on the fringes of their pack, just out of range. Gradually you will pull their pack apart, drawing out a few each direction. Once you have done this, hammer into those you have teased out, but try not to let them regroup.

Often when you are doing this, you will find one person got a bit too close and draw all of the heat. If that happens, that person should go totally defencive while the other in the group attack the terminators from behind.

If after killing the first wave you are told to go to another waypoint to kill the rest, let the least damaged pilot hang 4k away from the waypoint while everyone else returns to base. Sell your loot and stock up on regens etc before returning to battle. If you are unsure whether another wave will appear after the death of the last terminator, and all of you regens are used up, have your best pilot toy with the last one while the others return to base.

Maybe not the bravest of tactics, but if like me you're not the best shot on the server, it does give you a fighting chance.

Actually, I'm finding the server rather boring atm with this BSM on. The missions are low paying and a waste of time as I don't get anywhere near back what I spend doing them and trade runs get a bit tedious after an hour or so.

The 1 mil mission is ok but I'm yet to finish one on my own. It usually costs me a ship load of credits on spent CBs, rippers, wasps and CMs - lol.

So, I'm just playing something else until it's gone, WoW or NWN2 or whatever...

There are high paying missions in the outter systems, noteably Malta and Crete but likely elsewhere. "Standard" high paying missions are available from Cali Base and Ruiz, and Malta carries jobs up to $1,000,000 which I've been doing solo.

I usually fly for the Outcasts, but checkout other bases if your rep flies the other way
