Another New Recruit who I believe has the material [bass] requires and desires in Applicants if they wish to join and Fly with US on GOI.
On January 18, 806AS (2006D) IIkami applied and was accepted into Clan [bass].
IIkami has recieved a Directive intructing him how to prepare a ship for a Setup Run into a Dromedary with our Sponsorship.
He will then Trade in Legal Commodities for 14Days to earn enough to Purchase an Eagle VHF (the preferred 1st VHF for a New Member).
At the end of the 2 weeks I expect he will have enough to do this with cash spare.
We will then equip his VHF to a maximum of C9 Class Guns but to Maximum Specification in Sheild, CDs, ECM and Mines that are Purchaseable (not Looted).
C10 Weapons (Blasters or Cannons will be supplied when the Pilot can recieve High Pay Corsair Missions.
This will be acheived by joint Missions with a [bass] Pilot in Gamma out of Tripolii or Crete. They may also accompany the Clan Pilot on Raiding or Wreck Looting near the Southern Unknown Jumphole if we believe they can survive the BHs. Ideally the Loot or Nomad Raiding Party should be done before Missions against BHs otherwise its too hot for a C9 equipped ship to defend itself and get its Tractored Loot back to Crete to Mount or Sell. Use your judgement if a Wreck raid is possible but do NOT proceed to Loot wrecks unless you are sure the C9 VHF can survive One trip in and back to Crete without losing their loads.
Surplus C10 Nomads and C9 'Donations' will be gratefully accepted into Clan Stores for distribution to other Clam members or bartered for hard to Get Items like Ripper Mine Launchers if you can afford to donate the C9s.
All C10 NOMAD weapons which are surplus to the Recruits needs, must be loaded into the Clan Store as these are needed for resupply or VHF Setups when Nomad Raids are not possible (ie:hostile Clans in Control of Gamma) or when Time is Critical.
The Clan Store(s) are managed by Fleg and TBK using a shared account. We usually use our own ships as the intermediate transfer vessel as we prefer to keep the locations and Store contents Secret.
All Pilots can be assured that all donations (cash or rare / expensive C9 weapons and equipment) are tranferred in entirety to these Stores, the intermediary tranfers do not incur a tax or charge, we do this when time and oppurtunity exists so our Cash balances may reflect this until the transfers are completed. No one Profits from these Donations except Clan Pilots. Allied Pilots and [bass].
Just to put it bluntly, once and publically:
TBK and Fleg_Matik (me) DO NOT and WILL NEVER Embezzle Funds from [bass] Stores and we will refute any suggestion we do, its NOT the way we play Freelancer or the way Administer [bass]. We do this for Clan [bass] because its neccessary and we know what we are doing. We havent lost a valuable stocked store vessel yet and I doubt we will but only if TBK and I manage it for [bass] and we take the responsibility for the integrity and safety of the Clan Stores very very seriously. The Identity (names) and Locations of the Clan Store Vessels is TOP SECRET.
If you do discover or know by accident or our design, you are being Trusted not share this knowlege with anyone either in or outside the clan.
Never Group with a Store Vessel if you are in Visible Range, Transfers Directly to Clan Store vessels are by Eject and Beam Method and are very quick so get used to using this method efficiently as we can also do the same for Bots and Bats when things are tight when the BHs attack you around a Jumphole when you enter or leave a BH infected system like Gamma or Theta.
Do not Loan Cash to any Recruit in this Period.
Active Pilots may, if they can afford the time and know what they are doing
1. Provide NAV Escort to Unmapped territories.
2. Provide information on the most profitable and time efficient Trade Routes and hints to maximise Trade earnings potential LEGALLY.
3. Answer questions about Freelancer, GOI, and [bass] Pilots.BUT DO NOT reveal passwords to Forums or TeamSpeak Channels. This information will only be provided when the recruit has reached Full Active Member Status and will also be eligible and equipped for Combat at the earliest oppurtunity.
4. Keep an eye on their progress Trading and intervene if you suspect they are having difficulties.
5. Have a chat with them anyway when you see a new recruit as we want them to be encouraged to do their best during Setup and Trading and this will occur if they are aware that we chaps are looking out for them and wish them profitable Trade Missions to get into their VHFs as soon as possible.
The 14 Day Probation Period is now a Permanant Part of Recruitment into [bass] and has been applied to a few recent recruits recently with mixed but predictable results. The Directive that has been transmitted to IIkami will be further refined if we find am omission or error in the Directive when transmitting to future Applicants.
IIkami applied directly via Clan eMail.
The Clan Pilots' Good Reputation and Adherance to our Policy and Rules should take the credit here.
Well done Pilots of [bass]!
See You In Space!
